Recently, there were some reports claiming that Karthi will be playing the lead role in a bilingual movie to be directed by Ravi Udugala of recent hit Telugu movie ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’. Several reports have been claiming that the director has already narrated the script to Karthi to which the latter has given a nod. Nevertheless, it has been refuted as baseless rumours by Karthi claiming that no one has approached him regarding such a project. 

Currently, Karthi has completed shooting for ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ produced by Suriya under 2D Entertainment. Soon after the Kollywood strike is called off, the shooting of his tentatively titled Karthi 17 will go on full swing.
