92.7 BIG FM Chennai joins hands with ‘Chennai Liver Foundation’ on the occasion of ‘World Hepatitis Day’

92.7 BIG FM, India’s largest and No.1 radio network, has joined hands with the ‘Chennai Liver Foundation’ to spread awareness around Hepatitis. On the occasion of ‘World Hepatitis Day’, RJ Abhinaya, will cover the Hepatitis Awareness Walkathon, organized by the foundation at Anna Adarsh College from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. The walkathon is aimed at educating people regarding the need of Hepatitis vaccination. 

 

The activity also intends to encourage citizens to voice their opinions and pledge for the cause. RJ Giri Giri will bring the walkathon for listeners on his Breakfast show with live updates from RJ Abhinaya. 92.7 BIG FM known for its efforts to support social causes, held a week-long awareness campaign that will conclude with the walkathon. 

 

The radio network’s RJ Abhinaya will go live on Facebook from the on-ground activity for the audiences. The highly-regarded DR Prof. R. P. Shanmugam, founder of the Chennai Liver Foundation along with Principal of Anna Adarsh College and 350 students, will be participating in the walkathon. The event aims to encourage ‘infant vaccination’ within 24 hours of birth since it is the best possible solution to prevent Hepatitis B. The network’s own RJ Balaji, who is the face of the campaign, is Hepatitis B positive. He will feature exclusively on RJ Giri Giri’s Breakfast show on 28th July and share his experience with the listeners urging them to not neglect the critical aspect of timely vaccination.
